I do wish I could do something about this weather! Rain does unspeakable things to my hair. I am currently marooned underneath an exceptionally large weeping willow, at the edge of where the Forbidden Forrest meets the lake, and I must say… the view is not entirely bad, from here.
Daphne? Is that you? Below the oak tree?

Well, I thought the ball was an absolute success. I do so love to dance. Pansy and I, of course, enjoyed ourselves immensely and there was, for once, no lack of tolerable company. I also think it's rather wonderful that Slytherin was done so proud, by the way our girls dressed; unlike some of the tawdry harlots out there that seemed to want nothing more than to put themselves on display (in all the worst possible ways). Good form, girls.
That said, and in conclusion, I have something that I would like to say to a certain young lady whom will know who she is, once she reads the following:
Didn't your mother ever tell you that it's tacky to wear so much perfume that those around become overwhelmed and light headed? Honestly, my nose was beginning to run. Tsk, tsk. And such a heavy, musky scent? Wrong, wrong… that is all wrong. French perfumer Annick Goutal once said that a great fragrance is a secret between one’s self and one’s self, after all. So please, bear that in mind, next time you attempt assault someone with your crude seductions. And stay away from me, for goodness sake. This is the last time I'm asking politely. I'll simply have to forgo the niceties, if it happens again.

Junior Miss Greengrass, have I mentioned to you? I don't think I have. I received a new familiar as a gift from an old friend of my mothers, this year. It's a Persian cat. And while it might look quite docile, it's actually rather uncivilized and has horrible incontinence (this can be corrected, in time). It also has razor sharp claws and the disposition of one of those Romanian gypsies' children. It reminded me of you, of course, and so I've decided to call it 'Waldorf-Astoria.' Or 'Waldo' for short. Or even when it's behaving particularly badly, just plain 'Astoria' will do.
I would have privated this entry to solely you, but I think that leaving it public will benefit all of Slytherin, as well, seeing as there is a new addition to our family of pets.
